Introduction

By setting up Unified Pricing Rules, and using key-values to target them, Browsi’s video player can optimize your AdX demand in real time.

While the process may seem a bit complicated, it can create significant uplift for your demand. The setup is a one-time process, and this step-by-step guide details everything you’ll need to do.

Floor distribution

Before setting up any pricing rules and their key-values on GAM, to get the ball rolling you’ll need to decide on the distribution of floor prices you’ll give Browsi access to.

The more options you create for us, the better our optimization will be. We recommend intervals of $0.20 between $0.25 and $4.05, and then intervals of $0.40 between $4.05 and $10.05:

If the native currency selected for your GAM account is not USD, convert the selected floors to your currency when setting up Unified Pricing Rules - for optimization purposes this will do

Once you decide on the floor distribution, you can set up the key-values and Unified Pricing Rules.

Key-values

  1. In GAM’s side menu, under Inventory, navigate to Key-values

  2. Click ‘New key-value’

  3. Name the new key according to your naming convention, e.g. BrowsiFloor

  4. Set the value type as Predefined

  5. Set value reporting to ‘Do not include values in reporting’

  6. Click ‘New values’

  7. Add as many values as the pricing rules in the floor distribution, one per row - e.g. BV_0.25 (Browsi Video, $0.25 floor price)

  8. Click save

Unified Pricing Rules

  1. In GAM’s side menu, under Inventory, navigate to Pricing rules

  2. Click 'New unified pricing rule

  3. Name the pricing rule according to your naming conventions, e.g. BV_0.25

  4. Targeting

    1. Inventory - select the placement you created for Browsi

    2. Custom targeting - select the key-value set up for this floor

  5. Pricing - select ‘Set floor prices’ and add the actual floor

  6. Click ‘Save’

  7. Repeat for all floors

Share the floor distribution with Browsi

This is the last step required for Browsi’s video player to optimize based on the floors you set up above.

Please create a csv file, Google Sheet etc. with 3 columns:

  1. Floor price - the floor price in USD; only numbers, with no USD symbol

  2. Key - the key you used to target UPRs; should be identical on all rows

  3. Value - the specific floor you used to target that floor’s UPR

Example:

Floor price

Key

Value

0.25

BrowsiFloor

BV_0.25

0.45

BrowsiFloor

BV_0.45

0.65

BrowsiFloor

BV_0.45

Once done, share the table with your Browsi CSM - we’ll take it from here.
