Add Your Video Demand to Browsi Player

Introduction

The Video Console’s Demand screen lets you plug your demand stack into Browsi Player, as additional advertisers.

With advertiser targeting, you can make sure you comply with any agreement you have with advertisers rela

Initial setup

  1. You’ll find the ‘ADD ADVERTISER’ button on the top right of the Demand screen

  2. Clicking it will display a list of our supported SSPs and integrations. Can’t find the one you’re looking for? Talk to your CSM and we’ll work on adding the missing integrations

  3. Once you select the SSP and integration, and click ‘NEXT’, you’ll be asked for the IDs required by the advertiser. The Video Console will ask you for the specific IDs required by each advertiser - required inputs detailed here.
Fill these in and click ‘SAVE’ - and you’re done! Browsi Player will start sending requests to the new advertiser immediately

Special cases - specific integrations will require additional steps to set up:

  1. GAM ad units - to plug Google demand (AdX, Open Bidding etc.) into your video demand stack, you’ll also need to give Browsi API access to your GAM data. Without this access, we will not be able to optimize this demand’s performance or accurately report on it.
To give us API access, please follow this link.
For a full step-by-step guide for setting up Google demand, follow this link.

  2. Amazon demand - to plug Amazon demand into your video demand stack, you’ll need to share the bid CPM mapping you received from your Amazon contact with us. Without it, we will not be able to reliably compare Amazon’s bids with other providers, or accurately report on Amazon’s performance.
To share the mapping with us, please reach out to your CSM.

Targeting

Once an advertiser is set up, you can add targeting configurations to make sure it’s only active where you want it to be.

For example, some exchanges are only active in specific countries, and will ask you not to send requests from outside of them. Other exchanges may have approved only some of your domains.

Alternatively, in some cases different seat IDs are provided for mobile and desktop etc.

Advertiser targeting is available for exactly these scenarios - click the relevant advertiser, navigate to the targeting tab and add the countries, domains and/or devices you want the advertiser to target:

You can select the values to:

  1. Include - the advertiser will be active only in the selected scenarios

  2. Exclude - the advertiser will be active only outside the selected scenarios

To get an idea at-a-glance about each advertiser’s targeting use case, we recommend including it in the advertiser’s name.

The table’s targeting column is also available to clarify which dimensions are included or excluded, and how many values are in each:

Editing an existing advertiser

You can freely edit an existing advertiser’s:

  1. Name - click the pencil icon next to the name and then the tick icon once done

  2. State - you can pause and reactivate advertisers with the state toggle

  3. Request parameters - any ID sent with requests to the advertiser can be edited on the request parameters tab

  4. Targeting - as described above

Reporting

  • The performance of advertisers you add from the Demand screen can be compared by using the ‘Advertiser Name’ dimension, in both the Overview screen’s widgets and Explore screen’s reports

  • You can also compare different seats/targeting configurations with the same exchange by adding the ‘Exchange Name' dimension - to lump that exchange’s advertisers together in reports
