Instream Libraries

As you build instream playlists on the Video Console’s CMS, you can upload your own content and pull from Browsi’s diverse catalogue to serve on Browsi’s instream player.

My Library

The publisher library screen is where you can manage your own content, to upload it to our servers and serve it with Browsi Player.

You can upload your content in .mp4 format, in one of the following ways:

Video files in .mp4 format and up to 100MB are supported.

  1. Click the ‘UPLOAD’ button at the top of the publisher library page

  2. Select 'Video file'

  3. This step depends on the file’s location -

    1. Your local storage - drag the file onto the upload modal or click ‘Browse Files’ to select it from your drive

    2. Online storage - enter the link to the file’s storage location

  4. Provide meta data for the file to make it easier to find in your library and assign it to the relevant playlist - video name (title), content category, label and language

  5. Click ‘UPLOAD’.

Links to XML files are supported, and any .mp4 file under 100MB will be uploaded to your instream library.

For our supported feed convention, follow this link.

The Video Console will then subscribe to the feed, and will automatically upload new videos from it.

  1. Click the “UPLOAD” button at the top of the publisher library page

  2. Select ‘MRSS’

  3. Enter the link to your feed, and enter a name for the collection

  4. Click ‘UPLOAD’; depending on the number of videos in the feed, it may take a while for all videos to become available

The Video CMS can listen to your Youtube channel, to automatically pull every new video in the channel into your library on the Video Console.

  1. Click the “UPLOAD” button at the top of the publisher library page

  2. Select ‘Youtube Channel'

  3. Enter your Youtube channel’s ID - you can find it in the URL when navigating from Youtube’s side menu to ‘Your channel’
    youtube.com/channel/{channel_id}

  4. The newest 15 videos on your channel will automatically be pulled into the Video Console, and any new video after that will be ingested moving forward. To pull older videos than the newest 15, reach out to your CSM.

Browsi Library

Our instream library has a constantly growing and diverse video catalogue for you to serve.

You can serve any of this content exclusively, or use it to bolster your owned catalogue.

Adding videos to a playlist

Whether from Browsi’s library or your own, videos can be added to playlists in one of the following ways:

  1. From the preview player - click on any video’s play icon to play it. From the bottom of this preview modal, you can click ‘ADD TO PLAYLIST’ and select any number of playlists

  2. With the bulk actions bar - select as many videos as you want and click ‘Add to Playlist’ on the actions bar at the bottom; select any number of playlists to add the selected videos to

Removing videos from your library

By opening the preview for a specific video, you can remove it from your library.

Simply click the trash icon and then click ‘REMOVE’.

If the video is already live in any of your playlists, the Video Console will let you know this. Removing the video anyway will also take it out of those playlists.

Keep in mind this will only be possible if there are other videos in the playlist or if the playlist is not active (to avoid empty playlists in production).
