To differentiate between the performance of individual ad slots, you can add key values directly to each ad request. Key values can be set either at the placement level - will be specific to that particular slot, or on a page level which will be placed on each placement of the page.

Slot Level Targeting:
If you are interested in adding key values for specific slots - you can do this per Placement:

  1. Click on the relevant ad type

  2. Select ‘Add/ Edit Placements’

  3. Choose the wanted Placement, and click Edit

  4. Under the Provider Configuration, open 'GAM'

  5. Press on '+Add Slot Level Targeting'

  6. Add the Key and value
    You can choose whether you would like the value to be Dynamic or Predefined.
    Multiple KVs can be sent out by clicking on the '+Add Page Level Targeting'

Page level targeting: Set key-values that will be sent across all ad slots on your page.
1. Go to the Advance Layout features (Click on the wrench tool on the layout level)
2. Scroll down to the Page Level Targeting
3. Add the Key and value to all slots in this layout
You can choose whether you would like the value to be Dynamic or Predefined.
Multiple KVs can be sent out by clicking on the '+Add Page Level Targeting'
